Re-Activate

Program Standards Completion Requirements: Certified divers who wish to receive a card with “Re-Activate” certification must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Complete the Re-Activate knowledge review, which includes reviewing and refreshing their understanding of scuba diving principles and procedures.
  • Successfully complete the Re-Activate water skills dive, demonstrating competence in essential scuba diving skills.

Diver Prerequisites: To participate in the Re-Activate program, individuals must meet the following prerequisites:

  • Minimum age of 10 years old.
  • Possess a valid diver certification. One of the following certifications is required:
    • PADI (Junior) Scuba Diver certification.
    • Entry-level diver certification from another recognized training organization, with a minimum of four open water training dives completed.

Dives: Participants will be required to complete either one confined water dive or one open water dive, depending on the specific training needs and circumstances. This dive serves as a practical application of the refreshed knowledge and skills covered in the Re-Activate program.

Equipment: Participants are expected to use the appropriate scuba diving equipment as described in the General Standards and Procedures Guide. The specific equipment requirements will depend on the type of dive (confined water or open water) and may include items such as masks, fins, scuba cylinders, buoyancy control devices, regulators, and other necessary accessories.
